John Coltrane was a revolutionary and groundbreaking Jazz saxophonist, composer and band leader who is considered legendary by even the most casual jazz fan. Coltrane turned the jazz world on its head with his technically marvellous, innovative playing that influenced innumerable musicians. His virtuosity and vision can still be heard through jazz today – including our everyday dining room playlists – and that’s why he’s another of our musical heroes.

Arrosticini are a classic snack from the Abruzzo region in southern Italy. Classically using mutton but more commonly these days lamb, small cubes of meat are threaded onto skewers and grilled. A mixture of leg and shoulder is used for a textural contrast and fat content.
The Da Maria version are seasoned with rosemary salt and plenty of extra virgin olive oil and lemon.
